Not only do my boyfriend and I live in different countries, we also live on different continents, in different hemispheres, and NOW, even in different YEARS!

Not for long though. Soon we will both be in 2007!

Christmas is Over December 29, 2006

Another Christmas down So sad that we have to wait another year for all the holiday fun and food and festivities. I hope Christmas was good for everyone… I know it was for me My family had a nice time watching the kids get excited that Santa had been there. We ate our traditional Swedish pancake breakfast and Turkey dinner. Just my parents, my sister and her family and me.  I am sad that I couldnt spend Christmas with my love… but he’ll be here in a few weeks

I’m REALLY excited about my wonderful new ipod shuffle that I got for Christmas. I already used it at the gym and it is so exciting to just clip it onto my clothes rather than set it on the machine and worry about dropping it (like i have several times). Last night I spent a good hour updating my gymjam playlist to include some fun new songs for me to break a sweat to.

Another fun item is my new Treo wx phone. Got this last week, mainly for work purposes… but it is nice to have the internet and email at my fingertips. Now I spend a lot less time on my actual computer. That is probably a good thing!

 I think one of the most exciting things I did this week was buy a huge bin of Christmas ornaments, all at 50% off. Why you ask? Well, for my Christmas tree… that I will have next year… in the apartment/house that I don’t have yet… but I will. I hope. Otherwise, I’ll still be living at home with a big box of colored glass balls in my bedroom. That would SUCK. Oh, and I also bought 50% off plates and cooking utensils and stuff like that… again, for the house i dont have yet.

And the most important day of this whole week (other than Christmas) is today. Because today is the day I met Andrew for the first time (in person) in Sydney. Awww it’s been a whole year since I met my love! Crazy how time flies. And here’s a distorted picture from that very night.

 

 

Urban Dictionary December 22, 2006

So last night Andrew said something to me and I had no idea what it meant. He said didums, I figured it was an Australian word so I looked it up on Urbandictionary.com. It meant “A word used sarcastically. Generally to someone who is looking for sympathy or pity.” Whatever, I wasn’t looking for sympathy!

Annnyways, I started browsing all the other words and I found some of the definitions rather amusing. Seriously, this is very entertaining when you are bored. Let me show you some of the faves that I found. I guess this is what happens when morons have access to writing things on the internet that everyone can see!

 First here’s another interpretation of the word “Didum”

Is it Worth it? December 15, 2006

I really really REALLY want this. Is it worth 60? I think I need it. Once Christmas is over, I won’t be able to enjoy the delicious goodness of my favorite pumpkin spice lattes! I guess at roughly 4$ per cup in the store, I can justify that it is worth it! But is it weird to buy food on ebay?? Someone buy me this for Christmas pretty please.

Man calls 911 to report stolen drugs  

Tuesday, December 12. WICHITA, Kan. – A Wichita man called 911 to report he was the victim of an armed robbery. The theft? A pound of marijuana worth about $1,100 that he had been trying to sell at his home. The victim told police Thursday that a buyer had pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and stole the drugs. Police brought in a drug-sniffing dog to the house and located more marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The victim was booked into Sedgwick County jail on several charges, including possession with the intent to sell drug. 

The thief has not been found.

Some Things to Enjoy December 6, 2006

Admist all the crap that has been going on this week, I still have manged to do a few nice things.

1. Shannon’s Birthday Party. Saturday night we headed to Shannon’s house in Redondo and had a mini pizza party with like 7 of us. I got to play their fabulous new Wii which I really want now! Mainly because I can play tennis against myself from my living room! Then we went out to Union Cattle, but since I was sober amongst drunkards, I was secretly hoping I could sneak back to Shannon’s to play some more Wii!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Ducks Game. My dad and I went to the Ducks/Kings game at the Pond on Sunday. A vendor of his owns one of the boxes there (that costs over 100K a year). The ducks lost, but it was still a really exciting game and it reminded me how much I like going to hockey games. And I like them even more when I get to sit in the box and eat free food! 3. Baby Gianna. I got to hold the cuddly little bundle yesterday for the first time. She just got to come home a few days ago after spending almost a week in the hospital. Poor baby had little parts of her head shaved for the medical stuff they had to do She’s so sweet and precious. She slept the whole time so I’ll definitely have to go see her again soon when she’s awake!!
